Frequently asked quetions

How do I know if the Pacific or Sequoia style is right for me?

Use the Pacific style if your baby’s pacifier holes are near the sides of their mouth when in use

Use the Sequoia style if your baby’s pacifier holes are near their nose and chin when in use

How old does my baby need to be to use this?

While your baby can wear this pacifier wristband from day 1, the youngest recorded baby to raise their hand successfully & purposefully to their mouth to locate their pacifier & effectively use their pacifier wristband on their own is 3 months. The average age is around 4-5 months. Some babies take to it right away while others take some time to get used to it. If your baby isn't quite there, consistent wear & teaching from you will help! On average, babies discover their hands from 6-8 weeks old, so early wear and demonstration can help with early skill mastering and use!

How many different style wristbands are there and why?

The Ingy Bingy Band comes in two different styles: Pacific & Sequoia. With each design, the t-strap is positioned differently to accommodate different style pacifiers. If you have the wrong wristband for your preferred pacifier, the pacifier nipple will not lie in the appropriate position when the baby brings to their mouth, so it is important to determine which wristband is right for your paci-preference before purchasing. Review our style guide to determine which pacifier wristband is right for you.
